    Job Description

    The Manager, Strategy & Analytics is responsible for strategically looking at data to help make informed decisions driving topics like content, programming, business development and internal communication for the Local Media division. The individual will possess solid personnel management and communication skills, a strong analytical background, and be technically proficient with linear and digital media research software applications.

    • Support station leadership team to define challenges, develop strategy and provide solutions
    • Oversight of Nielsen and ComScore audience data and other syndicated data (Vivvex, Scarborough, Simmons, etc.), including weekly reporting to support local leadership
    • Oversight of maintenance of audience deliveries in Wide Orbit Media Sales including sales inventory, including upcoming programming, historical ratings, and sales estimates
    • Finance support: audience estimates for current and new potential programming
    • Business development support: work closely with sales team and integrated marketing to develop business cases and presentations for potential clients
    • Take raw data and craft a story into visual presentations
    • Manage a direct report
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years in the media research or data analytics field with expertise in Nielsen ratings, syndicated products (Simmons, Scarborough, his Markit) and emerging alternative audience measurement tools
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Familiarity with digital measurement tools (Adobe Analytics, comScore, etc.)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.)
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Domo, etc.) and a passion for storytelling using data
    • Experience managing direct reports

    Additional information

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
