    A respected Life Plan Community in Washington, DC is seeking a Manager of Community Engagement to lead initiatives that enrich the lives of residents through social, educational, and volunteer programming. This is a key leadership role that requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

    $500k referral bonus

    Responsibilities

    Community Engagement & Program Management

    • Plan, coordinate, and implement resident-centered activities and events.
    • Develop and publish monthly calendars and newsletters.
    • Lead the ARISE award program in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Oversee social accountability reporting and initiatives.
    • Support operational success alongside the IL Administrator.

    Resident Services & Support

    • Serve as a liaison for resident questions and transportation coordination.
    • Provide backup coverage at the front desk during lunch hours.
    • Supervise and support Concierge staff when the IL Administrator is absent.

    Volunteer Program Oversight

    • Manage internal and external volunteer programs.
    • Partner with the resident Volunteer Committee.
    • Recruit, train, coordinate, and support volunteers.
    • Maintain volunteer records and schedule.
    • Organize appreciation events and gather program feedback.

    Leadership & Departmental Management

    • Participate in leadership initiatives (e.g., MOD, CARF-CCAC, operations planning).
    • Lead department policy and procedure updates.
    • Conduct staff evaluations and provide guidance on performance issues.
    • Participate in screening and hiring of new team members as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience

    • At least one year of program management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Publisher.
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Compensation
    $55,000-$60,000 per year
