Job Title: Manager of Quality Control - Parts Manufacturing
Location: South Bend, IN (Relocation Available)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quality Control Manager for our parts manufacturing division. The successful candidate will lead the Quality Control (QC) department to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and reliability. This role is critical in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, overseeing adherence to ISO standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction through robust quality assurance measures. The Manager of Quality Control will be a key player in driving continuous improvement in quality procedures, overseeing compliance, and managing critical quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS): Lead the maintenance of the Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with ISO standards.
Inspection & Testing: Oversee all inspection and testing activities, ensuring that products meet specifications, quality objectives, and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Customer Relations: Collaborate closely with customers to address quality concerns, maintain excellent communication, and foster strong, positive relationships.
Procedural Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company procedures and industry regulations to maintain certification and compliance.
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Oversee PPAP submissions, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and approvals to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
Corrective Actions & Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues, develop corrective actions, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to monitor and improve quality performance, ensuring that incoming materials meet required specifications.
Leadership & Training: Mentor and develop the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 8 years in Quality Control in manufacturing industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
Experience in: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), ISO standards, and PHP programming (as relevant to automated quality reporting systems).
Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in parts manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality control methodologies.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused mindset.
Demonstrated experience in procedure adherence and quality management system implementation.
