    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to oversee all facets of operations at Block Island Beach House. This pivotal role involves collaboration with our Hotel Manager, Chef, hotel and restaurant teams to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel management and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate for this role brings a minimum of 5 years leadership in a General Manager position or higher, having led both hotel and restaurant teams. Experience in a seasonal atmosphere is a bonus. The available role will take the lead on driving success by surpassing planned project objectives for both revenue and profit, development of all team members including leadership team, a commitment to the local community, as well as enhancing the guest and employee experience. It is crucial for this candidate to have the capability to lead strategically, look ahead, and provide detailed financial analytics not only creating budgets but assessing performance to budget, developing capital expenditure plans and cash flow projections. The right leader for this position is a self-led driver, familiar with complex and high volume operations who operates with integrity. They possess the skills to communicate effectively up, down and laterally to a diverse group. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys nature, the balance of seasonality, and small communities with big personalities. This position will report directly to the Regional Director of Hotels. Responsibilities: • Leadership & Management: Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all hotel operations, ensuring alignment with Lark Hotels' standards and values. • Guest Experience: Foster a culture of excellence in guest service, continuously seeking ways to enhance the guest experience. • Team Development: Support and mentor the Hotel Manager, Chef, and restaurant teams, promoting professional growth and a positive workplace environment. • Financial Accountability: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation in season and during the off-season. • Employee Housing: Manage and maintain employee housing facilities, ensuring a comfortable and supportive living environment for staff. • Marketing & Community Engagement: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the hotel, while engaging with the local community to build strong relationships. • Operational Excellence: Implement and refine operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Manager or related roles with a proven proficiency in Food and Beverage and a strong focus on operations. • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compensation: $130,000
