SUMMARY
Plan, direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical,
machined, electromechanical or electronic products and systems. The Manufacturing Engineer I responds to manufacturing
issues and concerns to ensure products are produced to specifications and according to manufacturing schedules while
ensuring efficient use of resources. This role is also responsible for ensuring that fabrication of parts is carried out in the
most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality.

for a production facility. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, best assignment of equipment,
workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
Determines the processes, identifies the materials, and supplies to be used, designs, and builds appropriate tools/fixtures
necessary for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing, including recommending new equipment along with budgetary
figures to Management.
Program Press Break based on drawings. Create flat layout patterns for parts. Program Plasma Burn table as required to
create templates for nesting and cutting.
Performs engineering activities in compliance with established company and manufacturing standards, engineering
principles, customer requirements, and related specifications.
Create Manufacturing Aid Drawings (MAD) as required to help in the manufacturing process.
Confers with customers and engineering staff concerning tooling to insure efficient production methods.
Estimate production times, staffing requirement and related costs for management decisions.
Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of production and other worker operations
to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiency.
Institutes changes in the production processes with the direction of the Plant Manager.
Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities with Management team.
Work with Production Control to create and modify work orders using the ERP system.
Update BOM and material requirements as needed by working with engineering.
