The intern will assist in the development and deployment of Manufacturing Best Practices.
This is a paid internship and has a start date of mid-May and ends in mid-late August 2025.
Job Responsibilities - About the role - you'll need to:
• Assist in the Reduction of Cycle Times
• Assist in improved document control
• Assist in improving scrap rates
• Cycle Time Studies
• Assist in the development of Best Practices
• Develop tighter document controls
• Work with team to identify/improve processes for both cost and time savings
• Assist in design and prototyping of: Jigs, fixtures, etc.
• Assist in developing and maintaining 6S throughout the facility
Required Skills - About you - you'll need:
• Current pursuing a Manufacturing or General Engineering degree
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent attention to detail required
• Need to be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience are very beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to work independently OR ability to work with a team and be an enthusiastic team player
• Standing/Sitting for long periods of time. Working in a manufacturing environment.
