Our client, a family-run business with over 30 years of experience and a history of incredible growth and expansion, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team as they continue to proudly provide quality made in the USA products for the global market.
The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and validate processes for complex metal parts and assemblies, working closely with various departments in a time and cost-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and validate manufacturing processes for fabrication and machining operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
Work with CNC machining and fabrication processes to ensure high-quality production of complex component parts and assemblies, adhering to tight tolerances.
Coordinate with various departments, including Estimating, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Logistics, to optimize the manufacturing process and achieve production goals.
Develop and validate diverse welding procedures in line with company standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and achieving high-quality welds.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce time and cost, enhancing overall production efficiency in a time-sensitive environment.
Work closely with Quality Control to maintain high standards, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and quality requirements, including those for specialized components.
Contribute to initiatives that focus on expanding and reinforcing the manufacturing capacity and capability to support the company’s long-term growth and sustainability goals.
Offer technical expertise in troubleshooting manufacturing issues, ensuring quick resolution to maintain production flow.
Engage with major clients as needed to support business development efforts, including travel for on-site assessments or technical discussions.
Stay updated with industry standards and best practices, incorporating relevant advancements into the manufacturing processes.
Document manufacturing processes and provide detailed reports to support quality assurance, project tracking, and process validation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred
7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with exposure to welding and machining; familiarity with metal fabrication processes
Knowledge of certifications and standards such as ISO, ASME, ITAR, and related compliance.
Proficiency in welding techniques and standards, including working with various metals and non-destructive testing methods.
Practical experience in CNC programming, GD&T, and both CNC and manual machining processes.
