Manufacturing Engineer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 70k/year - Gallatin, TN

• Our client is a manufacturer of high-quality trucking bodies. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer that will create work instructions and drawings for various trucking bodies to include weld, paint-prep, paint, and installation.

Responsibilities:

• Support production processes through all stages from order to delivery.
• Work with contractors and maintenance to ensure equipment is operational.
• Coordinate with supply chain department for material purchasing, inventory management, and material workflow.
• Work alongside operations manager to minimize scrap, reduce fabrication down-time, and optimizing factory floor layouts.
• Provide and develop engineering solutions for quality issues.
• Analyze products and fabrication methods to determine areas of improvement and implement lean practices.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Solidworks for parts, assemblies, drawings, CAD-to-CAM, tolerances, sheet metal, weldments, DXFs, with the ability to regularly update truck body drawings.
• Working knowledge of lean practices.
• Experience in a manufacturing department.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k - 70k/year range
