    Job Description

    Implement manufacturing solutions across the network of MasterBrand operations through effective project management, mentoring, coaching, and facility hand-off. Facilitate change activity including 3P events, kaizen events and training workshops. Assist and lead Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Planning, and Implementation teams as required to achieve MasterBrand's goals relating to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. Specifically, this position would apply principles of the Masterbrand Production System in all aspects of project management and implementation. Position reports directly to VP of Plant Engineering.

    This role will require at least 50% travel and can be based out of any of MasterBrand's manufacturing facilities, with a preference in Huntingburg, Indiana. Relocation assistance can be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and audit the MBC Sanding Process Guidebook and maintain the documentation.
    • Support sanding-related problem solving and replacement projects.
    • Manage and coordinate the planning and implementation of projects relating to engineering, manufacturing, distribution, capacity planning, layout and realignment of facilities, process mapping, methods engineering, economic analysis, new product development, and capital equipment justification, as well as organizational planning and development.
    • Lead effort to implement best practices across plants, ensuring adherence to the principles of lean manufacturing.
    • Assist and mentor plant management and CI teams with planning and facilitation of strategic plans, new product introduction, capacity planning, etc.
    • Plan and develop CER’s (Capital Expenditure Requests) for major facility/equipment projects or projects encompassing multiple locations. Analyze process requirements and develop machine RFQs to support the CER process.
    • Prepare and present project concepts and plans.
    • Own and manage timelines and project costs from concept to implementation on defined project tasks.
    • Coach and train plant leaders in lean manufacturing and problem-solving principles.
    • Follow-up with operations ensuring successful implementation of Future State plans.
    • Lead events as necessary in the development of improved process flow applying the tools of MPS.
    • Champion MasterBrand Production System strategy and provide hands-on support and any necessary training during implementation.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or other comparable engineering degree required. Equivalent experience can be considered.
    • 5+ years of experience in various manufacturing/operations roles in lean manufacturing environments preferred. Demonstrated capability to learn product lines and manufacturing processes.
    • Experience with AutoCAD required. Microsoft Office suite preferred.
    • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written), including coaching, and facilitating training to large groups.
    • Strong problem-solving, conflict management, change management, and project management skills.
    • Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process.
    • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 50%
