Job Brief
Perform various engineering duties and tasks under the direction of the Vice President of Operations
Responsibilities
- Programming: Proficient in programming for manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency
- Fixturing and Tooling: Implementing fixtures and tools to improve manufacturing processes
- Maintain BOM’s and Part Routings: Responsible for maintaining BOM’s and part routings to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
- Material Sourcing: Capable of sourcing materials needed for production, ensuring quality and cost effectiveness
- Estimated Cost/Maintain Cost estimate: Responsible for estimating and maintaining cost estimates for manufacturing processes to aid in budgeting and financial planning
- Provide Manufacturing Support: Provide necessary support to the manufacturing team, troubleshooting issues, and implanting solutions to enhance productivity.
- Acts as Project Manager for assigned projects
- Ensure compliance to applicable solicitation and contractual requirements
- Helps train engineers, machinists and other employees as necessary
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience is required.
- Strong understanding of Engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and Manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
- Knowledge of Pumping systems a plus
- Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques and tooling technologies.
- Programming CNC mills using Mastercam software.
- Strong written, personal, technical and software skills(Creo, Mastercam, Ecel, Outlook, etc.)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks with very little supervision.
- Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures.
