Our customer in Elkhart is looking for multiple Manufacturing Engineers but one specifically with a Weld Engineering focus. Should have the ability to weld, will design tools and fixtures for clamping, troubleshoot problems, MIG and TIG, comfortable with process improvement, understand sources of heat, have a floor presence and be out with the team, and basically be the first call for anything weld related. This will not necessarily be a welder, but an Engineer that can weld and be the lead in that department:

    · Act as the point of contact for all weld processes and production support (MIG, TIG, Robotics)
    · Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the welding processes in safety, quality, delivery and cost
    · Support all welding applications and provide technical expertise
    · Identify, evaluate, and implement new weld technology, equipment and processes
    · Define, document, and control weld process and procedures
    · Train, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams for consistent weld processing
    · Design, build, test, and implement production tooling where necessary
    · Assist cross-functional teams for new model launch
    · Assist in the day-to-day resolution of weld problems arising on the production floor

This would be a direct hire role, competitive starting salary with benefits, and a great opportunity with a growing company. If this lines up with your skillset, we look forward to connecting with you and discussing the details.
