    We are currently seeking intern/co-op candidates to learn with us as they engage in a variety of hands-on projects alongside our high-performing and authentic Operations team.


    Position Summary

    This Manufacturing Engineering Co-op role is a hands-on engineering position that supports the manufacturing of medical device capital equipment. Through manufacturing support, students will investigate production failures, work with cross-functional teams to disposition non-conforming material and implement lean processes and assembly tools/fixtures to improve efficiency. Primary responsibilities are as follows:

    • Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and for medical device systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality improvements.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to address manufacturing issues.
    • Execute and support continuous improvement projects to optimize overall manufacturing performance and reduce waste.
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, fabricate and implement manufacturing assembly aids and test fixtures.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of process validation and verification activities.

    Training to be Provided

    Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product development departments within the Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) organization. They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry.

    Additionally, our interns and co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate students enrolled in a manufacturing, Industrial, mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering four-year degree program entering their third year.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Handle joint venture billings for back charge to division and corporate entities
    • Manage employee status records
    • Monitor personnel employment changes including transfers, new hires, terminations, salary and benefit administration
    • Manage project/procurement status records
    • Provide Management Support for Central, East, and Southern offices
    • Supervise one Administrative Assistant
    • Compile timecards and payroll information for processing
    • Order necessary items for new hires
    • Code, process, and review invoices
    • Review ledgers for accuracy
    • Prepare Contract Revenue/Contract Billings reports
    • Plans events for division meetings, business meetings, and teleconferences
    • Work on special projects
    • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management
    • Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.

    Education/Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree in Business or related area preferred
    • 3-5 years of previous administrative experience required
