    Since 1977 Specialty Hose Corp. has been a premier provider of Metal and Teflon hose assemblies. Our products are used in many applications and industries. We have hoses in decompression chambers at the bottom of the ocean and hoses that control the environmental system on the International Space Station and just about everywhere in between. Our company is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D. We produce hoses for the most demanding applications and quality is our culture.

    Specialty Hose Corporation, an assembler and distributor of quality components for aerospace and industrial applications since 1977, is seeking a talented and mechanically inclined Assembler that thrives in a technical production environment.

    We will provide role-specific training. This is an hourly role. Benefits are available after a 90-day probationary period. All employees are eligible for the company’s profit-sharing program, which is paid out annually at the end of the year based on company performance.

    Starting pay: $15 / hr.

    Duties include:

    Operates all equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits.

    Maintains a safe and clean working environment, including compliance with safety procedures, rules and regulations.

    Follows specifications or procedures for hose assemblies using blueprints, work instructions and fabrication knowledge.

    Pulls inventory from warehouse.

    Cut appropriate hose material to length using powered saws and other tools.

    Conducts tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality and tolerance.

    Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.

    Willingness to cross-train and perform work of other job tasks when necessary.

    The successful candidate will have the following competencies:

    12-months or more of assembly and/or general labor experience preferred.

    Basic math skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure and calipers.

    Basic skills required to accurately read blueprints and work orders.

    Capability to lift 70 lbs.

    Attention to detail is a must.

    Responsibility and great attendance history is mandatory.

    Education:

    Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
