*Full time, permanent openings at all 4 locations:
Anacortes, Bellingham, Burlington, and Everett*
Monday- Friday 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts available.
**Job Description
**
The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
**Hard Skills
**
Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts.
Examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Repairing or replacing defective parts
Installing special functional and structural parts in devices
Lubricating and cleaning parts, equipment, and machinery
Testing and adjusting equipment to meet performance specifications.
Setting up and operating lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Sharpening and reshaping tools as necessary
Initiating purchase order for parts and machines
Repairing electrical equipment
Following plant food safety policies and industry best practices
**Soft Skills
**
Acquiring knowledge of environmental and safety policies
Notifying designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks
Performing all other duties as assigned
Fish Plant - PPE required on the floor, may be cold and wet or have a fish smell in some locations. Hair net, bump cap, smock, and steel toes required.
