Talent Logistix is immediately hiring skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians in the Greendale, IN area. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive hourly rate for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals. This position is essential in maintaining production efficiency and equipment reliability, with a focus on problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate: $33.75/hr ($33/hr + .75 shift diff per hour)
Location: Greendale, IN 47025
Work Schedule:
- 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10am (will have to train on 1st shift)
- 3rd shift: Monday-Friday, 10pm-6am (will have to train on 1st shift)
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Food Safety Management: Report any issues with the FSMS (Food Safety Management System) to appropriate managerial personnel to initiate corrective actions.
- Preventive & Repair Maintenance: Execute preventive and repair maintenance on production machinery with minimal supervision, ensuring equipment is running at optimal performance.
- Support Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on supporting equipment (e.g., boiler, glycol, refrigeration) with minimal direction.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, including issues with PLC systems (reading and troubleshooting), motors, and pneumatic systems, to minimize production downtime.
- Tool Selection: Identify and use the appropriate tools for specific jobs in the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient repairs and maintenance.
- Parts Machining: Operate both lathe and mill machines to perform parts machining to specified tolerances with minimal instruction.
- Welding: Perform welding (Arc, TIG, MIG) as required to repair or maintain equipment.
- PLC Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot PLC parameters (excluding programming), ensuring that equipment operates smoothly and downtime is minimized.
- Problem Solving: Think creatively and apply various solutions to resolve mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal production downtime while maintaining food safety, product quality, and personnel safety.
- Work Orders: Complete and document work orders, including recording part numbers used for inventory purposes, and obtain final approval on tasks.
- Efficiency Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
- Production Communication: Collaborate with production teams during downtime to ensure timely issue resolution and production continuity.
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Experience: Maintenance Experience: Minimum of 3 years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to troubleshoot PLC systems (reading and troubleshooting), motor outputs, and electrical wiring (single-phase and three-phase).
- Mechanical Skills: Solid mechanical knowledge, including the ability to select appropriate tools for specific tasks and identify various solutions to mechanical problems in the plant.
- Welding Skills: Proficiency in welding (Arc, TIG, MIG) and the ability to perform repairs or maintenance that requires welding.
- Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues independently without constant supervision.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
- Soft Skills: Positive and collaborative attitude within the team, showing initiative and the ability to work independently without constant direction. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
