    Manufacturing Manager – Extrusion

    Location: Nashville, TN

    Full-Time | Operations | Reports to Plant Manager

    You may be just the right person for this Manufacturing Manager position in Nashville, TN to take charge of driving efficiency, quality, and team success in a dynamic production environment.

     

    The role includes:

    Leadership Opportunity – Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and production staff.

    Innovation & Collaboration – Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and R&D.

    Operational Impact – Play a critical role in optimizing production, reducing waste, and ensuring lean manufacturing principles.

    Growth & Development – Be involved in training programs to develop a skilled and educated workforce.

    Strategic Role – Act as a key liaison between operations, maintenance, and plant management.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive safety-first culture and operational efficiency across the plant.
    • Provide leadership and direction to ensure production goals align with company objectives.
    • Manage staffing, training, and development to maintain a high-performing team.
    • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure equipment reliability.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles, reducing waste and optimizing efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to meet product and service expectations.
    • Serve as acting Plant Manager in the absence of the Site Director.

     

    What We’re Looking For:

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Chemical or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience.

    Experience: 7-10 years in manufacturing, preferably in plastics extrusion, with supervisory and project management experience.

    Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting requiring hands-on oversight.
