  • Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and manage operations budgets, capacity and manpower

    • Strong understanding and hands on experience with ERP/MRP is desired.

    • Ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction

    • Work with General Manager to prepare evaluations and cost justification to support capital expenditures

    • Identify and implement changes in manufacturing and planning to improve efficiency, reduce cost and improve quality.

    • Work with Production Supervisors to oversee preparation of various manufacturing and SCM reports including job cost analysis, production hours status report, production hour projection and delivery performance

    • Participate in design reviews, technical review and program meetings ensuring that manufacturing knowledge, process capability and economic considerations are being shared, considered and acted upon

    • Provide leadership to develop and execute operations strategy.

    • Informed business decisions by analyzing trends and metrics, modeling financial scenarios, and delivering actionable insights on all aspects of the business

    • In depth understanding of complex machinery and equipment used in the production process.

    • Progressive problem solving with the use of lean methodologies and cross-communication.

    • Interact with various clients in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Identifying strengths and weaknesses in order to build and develop employee and management team.

    • Ensure operations and equipment is in compliance to corporate guidelines and OSHA Standards. • Prioritize cross-training efforts with Supervisors.

    • Must also demonstrate successful leadership and team building skills.

    • Work with Engineering and Production on implementing NPI schedules and conversion of NPI into production

    • Work with Procurement, Production, and Sales Manager on end-to-end SIOP inventory system from when order is placed to shipment.

    • Lead Safety efforts and Safety Committee meetings with Production Manager to ensure OSHA compliance and implement safety improvements.

    • Manage and analyze all facets of production data, including department and plant level productivity, efficiency, and capacity metrics.

    • Any and all other duties assigned by the GM

    Education and Experience:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • Experience: 5+ years of senior leadership role managing multiple direct reports within a manufacturing environment. Aerospace manufacturing industry experience a plus.

    • Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.

    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    • General proficiency of Microsoft Office software with excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Compensation
    $150,000-$180,000 per year
