  • Responsibilities

    **_**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: _

    • Conduct inspection and testing of finished products and raw materials to ensure compliance with Client and UL Specifications, reporting any deviations to Manager and Production Supervisor.
    • Perform line audits to assess finished and in-process quality, including monitoring temperatures, speeds, and pressures.
    • Assist in training production employees and QC personnel in quality control procedures.
    • Input specification data into computer systems such as Bizware, Google sheets, Excel, and Peoplesoft, ensuring accuracy for monthly reporting.
    • Assist in Competitive & Sister Audits when feasible.
    • Communicate quality issues with Supervision and production employees during the production process.
    • Contain and tag suspect material, notifying QC Manager and Roofing Line Superintendent of defects and quantities on hold.
    • Conduct warehouse audits to assess finished goods' quality.
    • Maintain lab equipment, scales, and manufacturing floor equipment required for quality testing, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
    • Maintain color standards and display boards, preparing samples for testing and verification.
    • Perform testing for Scotchgard Products and prepare samples for shipment.
    • Set up wastewater sampling and prepare samples for shipment monthly.
    • Assist in the design and implementation of new products.
    • Participate in project teams to enhance quality, processes, or performance.
    • Assist Shift Supervisor in troubleshooting quality or process-related issues.
    • Supervise production employees in the absence of a Production Supervisor.
    • Transport injured employees to the emergency room if necessary.

    **_**Other Skills and Abilities: _

    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PeopleSoft, Bizware, and other quality assurance programs.
    • Strong mathematical skills, particularly in statistical processes.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with Production.
    • Understanding of the manufacturing process.

    **_**Education and/or Experience: _

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Some college or an associate's degree preferred.
    • Ability to pass basic skills assessment in Microsoft Excel.
    • 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.

    **_**Physical Demands: _

    • * Regular talking or hearing, with frequent sitting and use of hands for typing or handling.
      
      • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
      • Specific vision abilities including close and distance vision.
      • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.

    **_**Schedule: _

    • Must rotate shifts every 30 days: 30-days on 1st shift, 30-days on 3rd shift, then 30-days on 2nd shift.
    • Mandatory overtime including weekends.

    **_**Salary: _

    • Starting pay at $50,000 annually. Based on experience.
    • Benefits eligible, first day of month following 30 days of employment.
