Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Safety Manager Manufacturing to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Safety Manager to join a leading F500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer and make a significant impact in their flagship facility. You will lead a team of 10 (6 Safety and 4 Security professionals) to continuously improve safety practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive health and safety program for a large plant (over 600 employees).
Drive a multi-year strategy for continuous improvement in safety performance.
Provide leadership, training, and guidance to your team, overseeing personnel, data, and budget.
Conduct and oversee accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Lead the plant in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.
Build and manage safety committees, ensuring effective communication and program execution.
Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
Champion a culture of safety through collaboration, influence, and impactful initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in health and safety within a medium to large manufacturing environment.
5+ years of supervisory/leadership/management experience.
In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
Experience leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
A passion for continuous improvement (Lean principles a plus).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
CSP certification is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000
Bonus potential: 15%
401(k) match: 9%
