    Summary:

    Our award-winning client is seeking a Safety Manager Manufacturing to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Safety Manager to join a leading F500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer and make a significant impact in their flagship facility. You will lead a team of 10 (6 Safety and 4 Security professionals) to continuously improve safety practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive health and safety program for a large plant (over 600 employees).

    • Drive a multi-year strategy for continuous improvement in safety performance.

    • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to your team, overseeing personnel, data, and budget.

    • Conduct and oversee accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

    • Lead the plant in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.

    • Build and manage safety committees, ensuring effective communication and program execution.

    • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.

    • Champion a culture of safety through collaboration, influence, and impactful initiatives.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).

    • 7+ years of experience in health and safety within a medium to large manufacturing environment.

    • 5+ years of supervisory/leadership/management experience.

    • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

    • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.

    • Experience leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action.

    • A passion for continuous improvement (Lean principles a plus).

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • CSP certification is a plus.


    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000

    • Bonus potential: 15%

    • 401(k) match: 9%
