    Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Scale-up Engineer with a focus on manufacturing engineering to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in process engineering, scaling up manufacturing processes. At Enzinc, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the scale-up of our slurry and deposition processes, from demonstration scale to manufacturing scale.
    • Specify and define equipment needs to support manufacturing scale-up.
    • Identify and work with equipment vendors to demonstrate manufacturing equipment that meets Enzinc’s requirements for consistent, quality manufacturing.
    • Procure, install, commission and qualify new manufacturing equipment to support Enzinc’s manufacturing growth.
    • Lead equipment integration and manufacturing process automation initiatives.
    • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Support integration of manufacturing unit operations with automation and control logic.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize the manufacturing of raw materials and components.
    • Contribute to Enzinc’s pilot line manufacturing campaigns to demonstrate production capability and to meet partner program production requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with a focus on scaling equipment and manufacturing processes.
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma or other lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
    • Effective communication skills for conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Requirements:

    This job requires flexibility and willingness to work some non-traditional work hours – including occasional overnight shift work. Enzinc values work-life balance and offers an alternative work schedule with alternating Fridays off.
