The Manufacturing Technician works as part of a team in production, handling ingredients, filling tanks, or transferring products as necessary. This role ensures smooth operations by monitoring equipment, performing minor maintenance, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, adjust, and perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Conduct changeovers and set-ups for new products.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform and record periodic quality control checks.
- Participate in sanitation and maintenance activities as required.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and operate automated equipment with computer interfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent math skills, including measurements, fractions, and reading gauges.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret standard operating procedures and documents.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools.
- Physical ability to climb, twist, bend, maneuver in tight spaces, lift objects up to 50 pounds, differentiate colors, and work in extreme temperature conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for at least 70% of the time during a shift.
