We are a scientific instrument manufacturer located in Sunnyvale, California, and have a 30-year history of creating solutions to our customers’ technical challenges. Our customer base is global with distributors in Europe and Asia.

    We are searching for a Manufacturing Technician to become a member of our Manufacturing team. The responsibility of this individual will include product fabrication, inspection, testing, and accurate reporting of test and inspection results.     Responsibilities:

    Performing Quality Assurance measurements of Onda's products and documenting results

    Building electronics, electro-mechanical systems, measurement devices—scientific instruments

    Basic troubleshooting of measurement products, including RMAs from Onda's customers

    Documenting product records (Device History Records), ensuring the integrity of related data

    Maintaining laboratory equipment in accordance with procedures and good housekeeping practices

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment—familiar with quality management systems (in an ISO environment) and MRP systems

    Experience assembling products using basic hand and power tools

    Comfortable using a Windows PC and Microsoft Excel

    Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

    Familiarity with oscilloscopes and test equipment—AA degree or equivalent in electronics is a plus

    Hand soldering experience is highly desirable—for component-level, circuit board assembly

    Ability to follow instructions, demonstrating self-sufficiency

    Good organizational and decision-making skills

    Strong mechanical aptitude

    Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination for assembly of components that are often very small

    Preference for teamwork
