    Vacuum Innovations (VI) is an equipment manufacturer for the precision optical coating industry located in Dansville, NY. W. We’re looking for a hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team! You’ll make sure our facilities are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our building for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly.     Responsibilities

    Participate as a team member in the installation of new equipment and support systems.

    Support design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality control activities as needed on site.

    Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, other equipment or structures.

    Coordination of project tasks, tools, components for installation, and documentation.

    Good communication skills with team and customers.

    Performs general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.

    Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs.

    Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced.

    Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks.

    Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.

    Qualifications

    ** Must be willing to travel for out-of-state installations.

    Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, vacuum, and/or related fields is preferred.

    Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical equipment difficulties is preferred.

    Familiarity with general mechanical tools and procedures.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Ability to lift to 70 lbs. regularly.

    Experience with forklift operations, hoist/crane use, and rigging hardware is beneficial.

    Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
