    Maple Star Oregon, part of Pathways – one of the largest national providers of accessible, outcome-based behavioral and mental health services, is in search of a compassionate, caring, growth-minded Juvenile Justice Foster Parent.

    About Your Role:

    Maple Star Oregon is looking for a family to support youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Our short term, trauma informed, alternative to detention program is designed to promote stability, growth, and transformation. With a goal of transitioning back to their families, community based, alternative to detention models are designed to reduce harm and produce better outcomes for youth and families.

    Here's what sets our program apart:

    Stipend/Reimbursement: To be available for placements we will provide you with a monthly stipend of $1500 - $4500. The monthly rate is a guaranteed rate and paid whether you have youth placed in your home or not. We value your commitment and provide a generous rate package to recognize the vital role you play.

    Extensive Support: You won't be on this journey alone. Our team of experienced professionals will be by your side every step of the way, offering training, resources, and ongoing guidance to ensure you feel confident and empowered in your role.

    Does the Following Apply to You?

    Must be at least 21 years old

    Maintain an emotionally, physically, and financially stable household

    Spare bedroom in a place you rent or own - residence must be in the Portland, Oregon metro area

    Pass a criminal background check

    Experience working with youth who exhibit challenging behaviors

    Valid Driver license with clean driving record

    Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking applicants strongly encouraged to apply

    Previous or current experience as a Resource/Foster Parent a plus!

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide caregiving in a home environment to youth involved in Multnomah County Department of Community Justice.

    Work as a service team member with support from an assigned case coordinator, certifier, and trainer.

    Provide a minimum of 5 hours skill building opportunities per week.

    Regular and frequent driving to meet youth needs; including transportation to school.
