    Are you prepared to motivate and lead young musicians in Washington, D.C.? The Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center seeks a committed Marching Band Instructor to play a crucial role within our team. Responsibilities will entail leading rehearsals, organizing performances, and instilling discipline and teamwork among our students. Responsibilities: • Develop engaging and effective lesson plans for marching band rehearsals and performances to facilitate student learning and mastery of musical pieces and marching formations. • Offer guidance and constructive feedback to students to support their musical and marching skill development and growth as musicians and performers. • Coordinate and supervise marching band practices and performances to ensure seamless execution of routines and successful outcomes. • Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to plan music selection and marching routines for a cohesive and synchronized marching band performance. • Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, providing updates to parents and school administration to track development and communicate achievements and areas for improvement. Qualifications: • Minimum requirement of 2 years of experience as a Marching Band Instructor in a similar setting. • Strong foundation in music education or a related field is essential. • Demonstrated ability to craft engaging lesson plans tailored to marching band routines. • Proficient in applying effective classroom management strategies. • Must have valid US Work Authorization. Compensation: $35 - $40 hourly
