    Purpose of Role :

    The Head of Trading Systems & Connectivity manages the team responsible for technical client onboarding and project management. The Trading System and connectivity team partners with departments across Marex to provide technical trading support to all front-office, real-time trading, and market data systems. This individual, and team, will oversee and handle projects for the electronic trade support and on an enterprise-wide basis when required.

    Responsibilities :

    • Act as the business onboarding lead for both new screen-based and FIX connectivity clients, collaborating closely with the end client to capture requirements and provide feedback to internal team and vendors.
    • Actively monitor client algorithmic trading flow, take ownership of trading issues, and understand their potential underlying P&L impact.
    • Lead ongoing review of manual processes to identify improvements, including but not limited to, keeping Exchange connection IDs clean, consolidating ISVs and connections, administering review of all internal IDs and implementing best practices.
    • Manage growth and development of Trading Systems and connectivity team, including performance management, training, and mentoring/coaching, along with involvement in recruiting efforts for open positions on the team.
    • Conduct conformance testing and front-end functionality UAT testing.
    • Assist with new system functionality analysis and implementation.
    • Assist with exchange reporting and compliance audits.
    • Own manual ticketing booking by utilizing tools to track IE (i.e. JIRA).
    • Help with system outage management for client trades.
    • Liaise between technology department and other business groups to communicate changes.
    • Assist with ongoing review of manual processes, including reporting to identify improvements and automation opportunities, etc.
    • Understand and adhere to Compliance rules and how role relates to the regulatory framework.
    • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the FCA, NFA, AMF, AFM, MAS
    • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Extended experience in FIX connectivity and institutional platforms catering to CTAs, hedge funds, institutional clients, etc

    • Technical knowledge of Fidessa GTP and associated benchmark algorithms, SOT and ESOs

    • Working knowledge of Fix Messaging Protocol with hands-on experience

    • Experience monitoring and reacting accordingly to client algorithmic trading flow

    • At least 5 years of experience working with front-end systems and admin tools including CTS, TT, Fidessa, CME Direct/Clearport, etc

    • Excellent working knowledge of database queries and excel for Compliance audits and management reportin

    • At least 5 years of experience with high frequency technologies within a demanding client bas

    • At least 3 years of experience with client onboarding for both Fix and API protocols

    • Dynamic work ethic, with the ability to adapt to changing electronic trading environments.

    • Must be comfortable with shift coverage generally between 7:00am and 5:30pm (to cover 8.5 hours) Mon-Fri; with occasional needs for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage

    • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
