    Job Description:

    Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is looking for a Director of Rooms to join our team.

    In this role, the Director of Rooms will oversee the day-to-day management of the entire Rooms Division to include: Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Guest Services, Recreation, Spa, Valet and Security Departments.  Duties include maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards; is responsible for the hiring, training and discipline of all hotel staff; and manages the hotel in the absence of the General Manager. This position is a member of the Executive Committee and a role model for all employees, by embracing our Mission, Core Values, Policies and Procedures.

    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following key attributes:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality of Business Management or similar discipline.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Hotel Operations in a Four Diamond, full-service resort. Previous EC level experience required.
    • Experience in a high volume, multiple outlet resort setting.
    • Strategic and visionary leadership ability
    • Effective management, organizational and communication skills.
    • Proven establishment of lifestyle brand standards and the development of a brand’s culture.
    • Ensures the efficient and effective operation of all Rooms Division departments.
    • Understands the government regulations affecting hotel’s operations, ensuring hotel is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority.
    • Skilled at working with Microsoft Office, Yield Management Systems, Property Management Systems, Daily Revenue Systems, Central Reservation Systems, Payroll program, etc.
    • Proven ability in the oversight of operations including but not limited to: guest service, inventory management and cost control, budget and forecasting, policy and procedure implementation.
    • Impeccable Standards and proven results in service execution.
