    POSITION TITLE: Forklift Operator

    REPORTING TO: Operations Manager

    LOCATION: Vertical Quick Launch at Hagadone Marine Group

    Key Responsibility Areas
    This is a multifaceted position responsible for boat movement within the Quick Launch Dry Stack facility. Basic day-to-day equipment maintenance, upkeep and operation.

    Major Duties

    1. Proper and safe operation of the forklift to ensure safe and timely moving, blocking and placement of all vessels for marina, sales and service.

    2. Monitor SpeedyDock, if applicable, and assist in the timely moves of customer, marina, sales and service scheduled boat moves.

    3. Works with Dockmaster and Marina Team Leads, or appropriate Manager to ensure SpeedyDock scheduled moves are completed.

    4. Ensure all drain plugs or water pickups are secure, when applicable.
    5. Power-wash vessels when removed from salt/fresh water.
    6. Promote and fully participate in the Hagadone Marine Safety Program; ensuring a safe workplace free of hazards for all team members.
    7. Gain a complete understanding of spill containment supplies and equipment and be knowledgeable in the use of these items.
    8. Participate in the training of new dock team members.
    9. Proper and safe operation of vessels while maneuvering in/out of marina.
    10. Assist customers while docking, tying, boarding and disembarking from vessels providing professional customer service.
    11. Places keel blocks, boat stands and support blocks under vessel appropriate to the size of the boat, when applicable.
    12. Slides and positions hull support blocks and frames against boat bottom for vertical support, when applicable.
    13. Mounts propellers on shafts to prepare boats for launching, when applicable.
    14. Monitoring gauges, dials and other indicators to make sure machinery/equipment is working properly.
    15. Checks equipment daily for proper fluid levels and general operation including hydraulic lines and hydraulic fittings, forks and straps condition, report any maintenance/repair issues to management.
    16. Report any needed dock repairs to proper management, including electrical, water, lines and dock boards.
    17. Assist with boat shows and other on/off-site promotions.
    18. Knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance.

    19. Safe operation of all equipment.
    20. Ability to work well with others.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
