We are seeking a Maritime Live Role Player (MLRP) to provide specialized military training support and instruction for the Air Force Special Warfare Squadron. This role involves dynamic and impactful training responsibilities, with primary locations including Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), AZ; Fort Huachuca, AZ; San Clemente Island, CA; Lake Roosevelt, AZ; Coronado, CA; and surrounding areas dedicated to maritime warfare training and rescue operations.

    So, what will the Maritime Live Role Player (MLRP) at Terrestris do?

    The MLRP may serve as medical patient, OPFOR, or as required by the scenario. This position is hazardous, and the you must be able to prove strong swimming ability.

    Duties:

    • Assist in qualifying fully mission capable Pararescue Jumpers (PJ), Combat Rescue Officers (CRO), Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Specialists, and other AFSPECWAR specialists.
    • You may be required to be on a small inflatable craft for a limited time and then transferred to a larger vessel as a patient.
    • You will serve as a medical patient for up to two (2) 48-hour scenarios in open seas or still lakes as outlined in each scenario.
    • You may be extracted via rotary wing in a carrier basket.
    • You will receive intravenous (IV) as part of the medical training scenario and will be required to stay in character throughout the entire scenario.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the Warfighter we're looking for if you have:

    • Worked as a rescue swimmer for US Navy or Coast Guard.
    • Prior medical experience.
    • Have the ability to lift and carry 100 lbs for 200 meters, non-stop.
    • Have the ability to lift and carry 200 lbs for 400 meters, non-stop.
    • Have the ability to ruck 6-miles carrying a 35-lb ruck within 2 hours.
    • No physical disabilities that may prohibit them from performing OPFOR or small unit tactics movements.
    • Have the ability to swim 200 meters non-stop within 15 minutes in open seas.
    • Prior dive certification, approved swim certification (Red Cross or other approved DoD course) or military drown proof training.
    • Rescue swimmer for other agency may be considered on a case by case basis.
