Job Description:
The Market Sales Administrator will be an integral part of the market sales team with a role in identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships and cultivating new business streams. Duties include researching leads and companies in order to understand the company requirements. Qualifying, making appointments for the sales teams with identified customers and making recommendations on topics to discuss during the appointment. Proactive pre-sales activities as identified for hotel locations in their geographical market.

Necessary Skills:
• To prospect for new and develop existing sales leads on behalf of hotel sales teams
• Fully understand hotel products and services
• Identify new contacts, develop sales leads and respond to sales opportunities in a timely manner in order to win business
• Research accounts in new markets using internet and various resources available and qualify for sales teams to follow up
• Provide administrative support for the Market Sales Manager and other Directors of Sales
• Gather and update contact information for potential/current accounts in a database by market
• Monitor local business press and other sources of information for opportunities
• Complete research projects as directed
• Verify Weekly Sales report submissions for salespersons and track
• Run monthly reports to determine shortfalls in production for each hotel location and report out
• Update Bonus tool monthly as data becomes available and distribute appropriately
• Maintain Sales workbooks and cluster affiliation spreadsheets
• Update Segmentation reports using M3 data and distribute to the field
• Create needed hotel tracking reports as required by brands for redemption deposits
• Assist with hotel sales training requirement tracking and organizing to keep hotels sales team in compliance
• Assist with daily scheduled activities to keep calendar of travel and to do list up to date
• Additional administrative duties as required for overall hotel sales portfolio
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
• You will be working in a collaborative office setting with other workers, where various communications, work tasks, and common office activities are happening throughout the day
• Must be able to remain focused, manage distractions, and effectively handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Must be adaptable to working with a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds
• Have Knowledge and the ability to operate computer and office equipment
• Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English
