Job Title: MARKETING INTERN

The Westlake Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our marketing team at our Maumelle location. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in growth marketing in a company with multiple divisions. The ideal candidate will be a current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, or a related field, with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

REQUIREMENTS

Be pursuing a business, marketing, or communications degree

Experience on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Have a 3.0 or higher GPA

Be a junior or senior in upper-division coursework

Have the ability to commute to Maumelle office location

Have a strong passion for learning and creating high-quality work

Ability to manage 20 hours of work per week

Be committed to this role through the end of the semester in May.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Content Creation (social media posts)

Community engagement (responding to messages on social media + Google Business profile monitoring)

Trend research (stay up on trends to create engaging content)

Assist in the creation of specific blog campaigns

Assist with administrative tasks

Research competitors, target audiences

Report on project progress weekly with manager to keep task timeline on schedule

At the end of the internship create a presentation on social media marketing improvements made from beginning to end of time

Skills

Interest in social media, content creation, and marketing strategies.

Familiarity with marketing data terms and their uses.

Strong verbal communication and writing skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Willingness to learn new tools and marketing platforms.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Familiarity with using Microsoft Teams Video meetings

Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools
