    Job Description

    KPFF is seeking a seasoned Marketing Manager with a strong background in strategic marketing, brand building, and business development to join our team in San Francisco. As a key leader within our marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape KPFF’s market presence, drive business growth, and mentor a talented group of marketing professionals.

    This role involves collaborating closely with principals and senior leadership to implement impactful marketing strategies, develop strong client relationships, and enhance KPFF’s visibility in the industry. We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial-minded professional who is skilled in developing strategic initiatives, managing the pursuit process, and building a positive internal and external brand presence.

    • Lead and mentor the marketing team, providing guidance, development, and support to marketing staff and engineers.
    • Collaborate closely with Principals to evaluate, track, and pursue project leads and business opportunities.
    • Direct and oversee the entire pursuit process, from strategy development through proposal submission.
    • Represent KPFF and support firm leadership at conferences, industry events, and professional organizations.
    • Create, coordinate, and manage high-quality marketing content across proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.
    • Ensure quality control and consistency across all marketing materials and pursuit documents.
    • Prepare teams for client interviews, offering coaching and support on messaging and presentation delivery.
    • Develop and execute external public relations, communications, and social media campaigns to enhance KPFF’s brand visibility.
    • Conduct market research and implement both short-term and long-term strategic marketing plans.
    • Oversee and update CRM databases, monitoring effectiveness and optimizing use for business development.
    • Facilitate collaboration and information sharing within KPFF’s company-wide marketing network to enhance pursuit strategies and identify new opportunities.
    • Establish and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective and impactful use of resources.
    • Lead internal marketing initiatives to build team morale, foster engagement, and communicate firmwide updates.
    • Support recruitment marketing efforts, attracting top talent to the organization.
    • Strengthen client relationships and business networks through lead sharing, networking, and industry involvement.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in strategic marketing and business development, ideally within the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry.
    • Proven leadership experience in mentoring and developing marketing teams.
    • Expertise in proposal development, interview preparation, and pursuit strategy.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and CRM software (such as Salesforce or Cosential).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, representing KPFF at industry events and networking opportunities.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing, public relations, and social media campaign management.
    • Knowledge of the AEC industry and local market conditions preferred.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and manage multiple project timelines.

    Additional Information

    Compensation
    The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $125,000-$150,000 , determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
