Job Description
Giant Pictures is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager , who will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing campaigns for our independent film releases across all windows, and with a focus on VOD/home media. Your creativity, attention to detail, and relentlessly positive energy will be key in driving the success of our films.
Responsibilities:
· Film release campaign management dealing with high volume of releases across VOD and theatrical
· Work directly with filmmakers through campaign lifecycle
· Social media management (calendar & posting) for three releasing label brands: Drafthouse Films, Tribeca Films, Giant Pictures
· Corporate marketing and PR (website updates, events/activations, festivals, social media)
· Asset creation: trailers, cut-downs, posters, artwork, social graphics (motion and static), tracking and managing cost budgets
· Mailing list campaigns and list management
· Online metadata updates (IMDB, RT, TMDB, Letterboxd, Gracenote/Fandango, etc)
· YouTube channel strategy and execution
· PowerPoint design and updates
· Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data-driven insights
· Media buying
· Hire and manage PR/marketing vendors
· Collaborate closely with internal teams including PR, Theatrical, Sales, Finance, and Legal
· Thought leadership/industry presence around film marketing & distribution
· Work with Legal and content owners for any asset clearances needed
· Archive and maintain database of marketing materials across catalog
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years experience in marketing roles within the film industry
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive film marketing campaigns, particularly in VOD/home media
· Knowledge of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, film windowing and emerging marketing trends
· Understanding of the film industry's competitive set, audience preferences, and market dynamics
· Expertise in: YouTube management, video editing, graphic design (Photoshop, Premiere)
· Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and project manage.
· Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to measure campaign performance and optimize marketing strategies
· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
Hours: Full time, hybrid (in office 3-5 days per week)
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000
