    Job Description

    KPFF Consulting Engineers in San Francisco is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a key contributor, you will lead proposal efforts for a range of public and private sector projects. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of proposal development, from initial kick-off to final submission, ensuring that deliverables align with client expectations and KPFF’s high standards for quality. You’ll work closely with technical teams, subconsultants, and graphics specialists, taking ownership of non-technical writing and providing strategic guidance on proposal content and presentation. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about driving impactful projects and contributing to KPFF’s growth.

    • Key producer in developing prime and subconsultant proposals and qualifications, including materials such as resumes, biographies, project descriptions, and other marketing collateral to support KPFF’s business development efforts.
    • Monitor industry-related publications, online sources, and events to stay informed about market trends and client activities.
    • Maintain and update the CRM database, including client, project, and firm information, and manage content libraries for prior proposals, boilerplates, and visual assets.
    • Draft and edit internal communications, announcements, and updates for staff.
    • Track and manage association, publication, and community event postings.
    • Update marketing collateral, presentations, and visual materials to ensure alignment with brand standards.
    • Process, review, format internal documents and client deliverables.
    • Lead positioning activities, such as strategy, speaking engagement presentations, writing project case stories, asset management and graphic design of collateral
    • Pull project reports and update resource information to support internal communications and project tracking.
    • Identify and source relevant images for project documentation and marketing content.
    • Support social media, website, and PR content creation and editing.
    • Help coordinate and execute internal and client events, such as meetings, community events, exhibits, and conferences.
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications with staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
    • At least five years of experience in marketing or a related field, with a preference for AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator)
    • Experience with CRM databases like Cosential, Salesforce, or Ajera preferred
    • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document production skills
    • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an eye for design
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
    • Collaborative and positive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of marketing, business development, or sales strategies
    • Interest in joining industry-related organizations, such as SMPS, ACEC, or SEAO
    • Knowledge of the AEC industry, particularly in the local bay area market, is a plus.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and manage multiple project timelines.

    Additional Information

    Compensation
    The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $95,000 to $120,000 , determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
