We are currently seeking a Marketing Technology Developer. This role oversees the implementation, optimization, and management of marketing technology solutions to support the organization's marketing objectives. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust website and integrating various systems to create a cohesive technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our web and systems integration projects, ensuring seamless and efficient execution. The ideal candidate will utilize existing knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies to create user-friendly websites, streamline system integrations, and support marketing campaigns. This position requires a creative problem-solver with a passion for technology and a strong understanding of the marketing landscape. This position requires cross departmental cooperation to build and implement innovative digital solutions that drive Matrix forward. The candidate's technical expertise and collaborative approach will help us achieve our business objectives and deliver exceptional digital experiences to our customers. This position works in a team environment at our Lexington, KY office. This is not a remote position.
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate in front-end and back-end development, ensuring high-quality code and technical delivery across website experiences, including campaign landing pages.
- Implement and optimize APIs for performance and scalability, while ensuring seamless integrations with third-party services.
- Own ongoing maintenance of critical documentations including integrated wireframes, naming conventions and data dictionary.
- Lead development sprints and manage the technical aspects of project timelines, delivering on-time and within scope.
- Controls website change management intake process.
- Create a scaled and phased project plan/roadmap for ongoing maintenance and new rollouts.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve technical issues that arise during the development cycle.
- Balance day-to-day project management with hands-on coding, ensuring consistent progress across development efforts.
- Optimize on-page elements for SEO, including meta tags, headings, keywords, and image alt text.
- Integrate new features as needed, such as contact forms, chatbots, interactive elements, and multimedia components.
- Ensure that the website adheres to accessibility standards (WCAG) to make it usable for individuals with disabilities.
- Provide technical leadership in ensuring compliance with security, performance, and version control best practices.
- Implement and manage a rigorous QA process that is well-documented and efficient in meeting project timelines.
- Develop and maintain databases that support marketing efforts and keep all relevant technical documentation up to date.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in team and technical project management within web development.
- Proficient in front and back-end technologies and experience with relevant databases.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with code repositories is essential for managing version control, collaboration, and efficient workflows.
- Experience working with qualitative and quantitative research data.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a pressured/high pace environment.
