    You will be a key business partner for Sales Overheads spending, including analysis, forecasting and reporting, and accurate period end closing, account analyses, and account reconciliations. This role works directly with the budget owners to establish budgets, long term goals, and savings opportunities. The role also owns the maintenance, development and deriving insights from our MAC tool - a local decision tool housing the profitability of all of our items, used by this and other cross-functional groups for reference. And the role supports the Sales Finance team with performing period close activities for Trade spend & Display & Equipment spend.

     

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

     

    • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change

    • Strong management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to convince, influence, and motivate all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.

    • University Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

    • Foundational accounting and strong Internal Control framework knowledge; prior accounting experience a plus

    • 2-3 years of work experience in a finance area with an emphasis in accounting

    WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?

    • Serve as a Finance business partner to the Sales Managers providing financial advice relating to Overheads spend to ensure sound financial decisions. Develop and implement scorecards that ensure continuous improvement in the efficiency of our spending

    • Ensuring accuracy of recognition of expense for period closing of Sales Overheads - by determining accruals/deferrals based on thorough understanding of spending plans

    • Provide forecasting inputs to quarterly & annual S&OP processes for Sales Overheads, by coordinating latest estimates with Sales managers and analysis of year-to-date actuals

    • Maintain & develop local MAC tool based on Alteryx & Power BI platforms, by understanding needs of users and adapting tool to drive efficient analysis of item profitability

    • Support the Sales Finance team with performing period close activities for Trade spend & D&E

    • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change

    • Strong management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to convince, influence, and motivate all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.

    • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with all levels

    • Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal controls

    • Experience in planning, reporting and analytics preferred.

    • Experience with integrated financial systems and processes, SAP preferred

    • General Ledger experience and financial period close processes

    • Capability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
