Position Summary:
The CPO contributes to the agency's child development philosophy and goals by leading a comprehensive child development program for the agency, involving all sites under Mary Crane. **

Organizational Leadership
- ****Support the CEO and COO in the leadership and operations (E.g., talent development, budget planning and management, etc.) of the agency.
- Supervise education, site staff, and quality assurance staff.
- Co-design and co-lead the strategic planning process with all stakeholders.
- Provide agency-wide leadership and early childhood program support aligned with federal, state, and locally mandated requirements and guidelines.
- Oversee the dissemination of information, policies, regulations, procedures, and reports.
- Partner with the COO and HR team to identify, and recruit highly skilled staff that are committed to a standard of excellence and desired results for early childhood education.
- Oversee cross-team collaborative opportunities to ensure program alignment and stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as liaison to community partners.
- In partnership with CEO, serve as a liaison to philanthropic and research partners to support collaborative projects and initiatives.
Educational and Program Oversight
- Lead, professionally develop, and evaluate direct reporting staff, including site directors and instructional staff: Regularly provide feedback regarding individual, team, and departmental progress.
- Model a growth mindset, effective collaboration, data utilization and problem-solving.
- Ensure expectations are clearly communicated to department leaders; maintain high levels of accountability related to progress toward achieving set goals and established expectations.
- Support check-ins between leadership and directors.
- Oversee QA team, monitor site operational performance and compliance, resolve open issues pertaining to early childhood education.
- Work collaboratively with fellow colleagues to support a seamless learning community, inclusive of Diverse Learners and English Learners implementing a strategic plan to dramatically increase student success.
- Build collaborative relationships with a wide variety of constituent groups, including external partnerships, to ensure the most effective manner possible to support site and director needs.
- Support a learning-oriented organizational culture that emphasizes quality experiences for children, collaborative relationships, continuous improvement, and high performance by developing curriculum.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirement
- Master's degree in early childhood development or education
- 10+ years in Education
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
- Bilingual-Spanish preferred
