    MARYLAND MASONIC HOMES, A PREMIER CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY (CCRC) NESTLED IN THE ROLLING HILLS OF HUNT VALLEY, HAS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A CLINICAL MANAGER IN OUR HEALTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT.  

    MARYLAND MASONIC HOMES FIRST OPENED IN 1934, AND THE COMMUNITY WAS AN INFIRMARY AND DORMITORY FOR MASTER MASONS AND THEIR FAMILIES. TODAY, MARYLAND MASONIC HOMES IS A CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC WITH 31 INDEPENDENT LIVING UNITS, 70 ASSISTED LIVING UNITS, AND 88 HEALTHCARE BEDS.

    THE CLINICAL MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE HEALTHCARE UNIT BY PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE AS WELL AS OCCASIONAL HANDS-ON CLINICAL SUPPORT TO STAFF. THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE TO OVERSEE DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT OF STAFF ASSIGNED TO THE UNIT AND ASSIST THE DON WITH PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, COACHING, RECRUITMENT, AND TERMINATION DECISIONS. THE INCUMBENT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING CARE PLANS AS WELL AS DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND ASSISTING THE DON WITH MONITORING THE BUDGET. THE CLINICAL MANAGER WILL ALSO SERVES AS A COACH AND MENTOR TO THE STAFF AND WILL BE DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH STAFF EDUCATION. THIS IS A FLSA-EXEMPT POSITION AND WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES (DON).

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing required, BSN preferred

    Active RN license in the State of Maryland required

    Current CPR license required

    Min 2 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting required

    Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment used in a SNF is strongly preferred

    Experience with infection control, staff education and fall management is strongly preferred

    Experience with staffing and payroll in a long-term care environment is strongly preferred

    Experience with medical records and care plans required

    Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations is required
