    As the Message Therapist, you will provide massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to the individualized care plan.

    Location: Central Oregon, working in patient's homes and facilities.

    Compensation: $27.98-$36.31 per hour/non-exempt (DOE).

    Casual Status: Up to 23 hours per week.

    What You Get to Do:

    Conduct initial assessments to understand patients' needs, physical conditions, and preferences for massage therapy.

    Create customized massage therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs, taking into account their medical history, pain levels, and emotional state.

    Administer various massage techniques or other modalities to address pain relief, relaxation, and emotional support.

    Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Coordinator, nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure therapy aligns with overall treatment goals.

    Assess referrals and patients for an appropriate medical indication for services and also evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.

    Observe and report to the Rehabilitation Coordinator the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition.

    Maintain necessary records, clinical notes, charting, and care coordination, which will be incorporated into the patient’s clinical record within 48 hours of visit and modified as needed.

    Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, family, and caregiver information.

    Follow the guidelines for universal precautions when providing patient care and demonstrate proper techniques in the application of infection control standards.

    Demonstrate a working knowledge of the dying process and recognize the importance of maintaining professional boundaries.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Valid Oregon Massage Therapist License.

    Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.

    One to two years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting. Ideal candidates will possess 1-2 years of home health or hospice experience (preferred).

    Maintain adequate continuing education to ensure ongoing proficiency to provide Massage Therapy services to PIC patients.

    Valid CPR Certification.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
