    Position Type: Full-Time (Tuesday–Saturday)

    Compensation:

    Base Pay: $30-$37 per hour

    Piece Work Bonus: Additional compensation based on work completed

    This position is ideal for an experienced jeweler who thrives working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment. Occasionally, we offer our Bench Jeweler the opportunity to travel with us to IJO buying shows to expand their industry knowledge and engagement.

    Responsibilities

    Perform ring sizings (up/down) in gold, platinum, and silver

    Retip and rebuild prongs

    Stone setting (prong, bezel, flush, channel)

    Conduct soldering, welding, and intricate repairs

    Fabricate custom jewelry pieces (preferred)

    Casting knowledge is required – ability to work with raw metal, wax models, and casting processes

    In-depth jewelry tool knowledge – must understand proper tool use, care, and function

    Polish and finish jewelry

    Work efficiently to meet repair deadlines

    Maintain an organized and clean workbench

    Communicate with the team and (occasionally) customers about repair estimates, timelines, and materials

    Ensure proper handling and care of customer jewelry

    Requirements

    5+ years of experience as a bench jeweler

    Must pass a bench test demonstrating proficiency in:

    Sizing, tipping, and stone setting

    Experience with laser welding and torch soldering

    In-depth knowledge of jewelry tools and casting techniques

    Strong knowledge of fine jewelry craftsmanship and repair techniques

    Fabrication experience required

    CAD knowledge (Rhino, Matrix, or similar) is required

    Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team

    Excellent attention to detail and a passion for high-quality work

    Interest in engaging with the community and participating in local events is a plus

    Earnings Potential

    This position includes piece work bonuses, which are based on the complexity and volume of repairs and custom projects completed.

    While individual earnings will vary based on workload, our bench jewelers frequently average $1,000 or more per week in piece work bonuses in addition to their base hourly rate.
