    Job Description

    The Master Data Specialist – Data Synchronization plays a crucial role in master data management and governance. This position is managing the creation, review and management of the data-synchronization process from Jack Links to our external customers using tools such as 1WorldSync, Salsify and Syndigo. Tasks include gathering necessary attributes and data from various resources including SAP, Web DAM, Product Life Management (PLM) and others. This role requires ongoing communication internally with Creative Services, Marketing, Project Management, Sales, Operations, IT, Regulatory as well as with external stakeholders to ensure accurate communication of Material Master details, contributing to the success and speed-to-market of new and existing product.

    The responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Become an expert in the Global Synchronization Network (GDSN) process, including assigning UPC codes and publishing data to our customers through the Global Network
    • Become an expert in 1WorldSync, Salsify and Syndigo process, including data publication not limited to GDSN data, Marketing Content, Images, Nutritional Information, and more
    • Effective on gathering data from several systems, including SAP, Web Dam, PLM, etc.
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining Customer Master Data
    • Ensure all Customer Master is managed according to the governance processes, policies, and procedures. Communicate with external customers to review all data provided is the most up to date, including confidential information
    • Implement data validation techniques to ensure that data integrity and quality is of the highest degree based on risk and criticality
    • Responsible for creating and updating master data to reflect accurate item information including descriptions
    • Effectively communicate to departments affected by the changes to the Material Master Data
    • Receive and handle data-synchronization requests and questions from other departments
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

    Required Experience:

    • Strong computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation)
    • Strong mathematical skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Experience using 1WorldSync, Salsify, Syndigo, and/or IX-ONE,
    • Experience managing GTIN and GS1 Standards
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members
    • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and team members motivational skills
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw and communicate valid conclusions for strategic decision making
    • Receive projects, prioritize, plan, and complete job functions and projects with little supervision
    • Ability to evaluate priorities and able to transition when priorities change
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
    • Analyze and contribute to better methods for completing job functions
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive data

    Preferred:

    • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 1+ years of experience in 1WorldSync, Salsify, Syndigo, and/or IX-ONE
    • 1+ years of experience managing GTIN and GS1 Standards
    • Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management tools
    • Strong of understanding of Customer, Material and Vendor Master Data
