We are seeking a highly-motivated, talented, collaborative interdisciplinary candidate with interest and experience in protein biochemistry and immunology for the position of Material Acquisition Specialist at a R&D center in Irvine, California. The successful candidate will work independently within a collaborative group and will combine in vitro biochemical, biophysical, and immunological experimental approaches to procure raw materials and reagents to support the parent company and the R&D center. This candidate will also work under guidance and then independently on various IVD assays. The candidate will need to contact vendors, acquire quotes, generate POs and track and generate shipments.

Qualifications

A BS degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology or a related discipline.

Experience with biochemistry lab equipment such as micropipettes

Experience with procurement procedures is desirable.

Experience with inventory procedure is a plus.

Knowledge of ELISA and IVD assays is desirable

Knowledge of allergy and autoimmune diseases is desirable.

Demonstrated ability of critical thinking, independence, and problem solving.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capability.
