POSITION SUMMARY
Applies technical and specialized knowledge to evaluate issues and specific work activities, and support the development of internal rules and procedures to assure performance efficiency, process control, and compliance in the area of material support and services.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Level of Autonomy
The Analyst II needs demonstrate ability to apply increasing levels of independent thought and action, receiving guidance only on more complex issues; work is still checked; may provide some work direction and/or guidance in an unofficial capacity to one or more Administrative Exempt Entry Level professionals on an as-needed basis.
Main Activities
Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accord with inventory cycles and business needs.
Interfaces with corporate planning area and reviews plans, planning and forecasting parameters for the local inventory.
Monitors spare parts planning policies effectiveness for the unit and propose actions to solve any discrepancy, as well as monitors the progress of inventory levels, reviewing factors that could affect customer orders fill rates.
Reviews released spare parts engineering changes to measure impacts on the local inventory and coordinate actions to solve inventory discrepancies.
Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect the unit profitability in terms of spare parts inventory. Identifies spare parts surplus or excess that could generate sales campaign.
Prepares studies and analysis to support financial and non-financial strategic actions related to the local spare parts inventory.
Supports the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and the management for spare parts long term goals and strategic objectives.
Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future warehouse requirements to meet the organization's needs.
Develops spare parts allocation policies for all U.S. warehouses according to the local company policy.
Enhances warehouse logistic workflows by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect shipping and receiving activities.
Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize logistics cost.
Coordinates creation of new warehousing and distribution channels and ensures material needs are met throughout this creation process.
Reviews material specification to accurately determine the condition to be storage.
Researches and implements new Logistics, IT technologies and procedures to warehouse productivity.
Supports development and implementation of special parts programs, preparing project plans, project teams, technical analysis, procedures and specifications according conditions of contracts.
Supports negotiation of special program contracts and contractual changes.
Designs and implements logistics processes, and plants (from pilot to fully operational) for special parts programs. Schedules meetings, conference calls, etc.
Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPI's) for material support processes and activities including special programs, third parties activities and for all tasks that are considered important for the performance of material support programs and services.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
Associate Degree
Preferred – BA, BS degree
Experience:
FLSA Exempt, Intermediate Level Administrative Professional Contributor on a Project or Work Team.
5-7 years of experience in area of responsibility or 1-2 Years of experience with an Advanced Degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are moderately complex in nature.
Performs work assignments that have an increasing emphasis on the processing and interpretation of more complex, less clearly defined issues.
Proactively Identifies potential solutions to issues and takes action to resolve those issues after consultation with manager.
Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects and assignments that have direct impact on department results.
Errors in judgment may cause delays in project schedules and may require moderate expenditures of resources to correct resulting issues.

Act as Project Representative from immediate group they are assigned to in the resolution of problems/issues encountered across multiple functions which require a coordinated response.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a safe and professional manner.
Ability to coordinate project schedules and other supply chain activities, including monitoring contract compliance of logistics service providers.
Effectively manage others while ensuring quality work.
Proficient in MS Office, Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, SAP.
Follow company policies and procedures.
People management skills (HR guidelines, tools & policies).
Familiarization with value based management fundamentals (Shareholder Satisfaction x Customer Satisfaction x Employee Satisfaction), employment law (sexual harassment, disability, discrimination, labor laws, etc.).
Familiarization with basic concepts related to statistic and planning (Target Program management).
