    Job Overview: The Material and Production Planning Analyst is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of materials and production processes to meet customer demands efficiently. This role involves developing production schedules, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize resource utilization.
    • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring the availability of materials to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
    • Material Planning: Analyze material requirements based on production schedules and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service teams to align production plans with business objectives.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize ERP systems and other tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues related to production delays, material shortages, and other challenges that may impact production schedules.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and other key metrics to management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or a related role.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (Deltek CostPoint a plus) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification.
    • Experience in Defense Industry
