    Full-Time Materials Manager

    Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call required)

    Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and materials. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong background in materials management within a healthcare setting. This role is crucial to ensuring that our center operates smoothly and efficiently to meet the needs of our patients and surgical teams. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person. This person must be active as 90% of this position is physical activity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inventory Management:

      • Maintain accurate records of medical and surgical supplies, ensuring appropriate levels to meet daily operational needs.
      • Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
      • Implement efficient inventory tracking systems to reduce waste and control costs.
    • Procurement & Supplier Management:

      • Order, receive, and stock supplies and materials in line with established quality and cost standards.
      • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
      • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain issues that may arise.
    • Budget & Cost Control:

      • Assist in creating and adhering to the materials management budget.
      • Monitor expenses to maintain cost-effective purchasing practices and identify areas for cost savings.
    • Compliance & Safety:

      • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations related to materials management.
      • Maintain a safe and organized materials storage area that meets infection control and safety protocols.

    Required Skills

      • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 2 years of materials management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgery center or hospital environment.
      • Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, showcasing commitment and reliability.
    • Skills & Abilities:
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
      • Proficient in materials management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Environment:
      • Ability to deal with repetitive task
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
      • Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above your head and shoulders
      • Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment
