    Shift: Monday to Friday and Occasional Saturdays ( Half Day) ****

    5:00 am - 1:30 pm

    $23.50 - $24.50 DOE

    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Materials/Receiving Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials and products. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our inventory levels are maintained and that our production processes run smoothly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Receiving and Inspection:- Receive incoming shipments, ensuring all materials match purchase orders and specifications.- Inspect received materials for quality and conformity, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.- Accurately document received items in the inventory system.

    2. Inventory Management:- Assist in managing inventory levels, including recording stock in and out.- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies.- Organize and maintain storage areas to facilitate easy access and efficient stock management.

    3. Record Keeping:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials received and processed.- Assist in preparing reports related to inventory levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and discrepancies.

    4. Collaboration:- Work closely with the Materials Manager, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.- Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding any issues or queries related to shipments.

    5. Safety and Compliance:- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management and receiving.

    6. Continuous Improvement:- Identify areas for process improvements and contribute suggestions for increasing efficiency in receiving operations.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in materials management or logistics is a plus.- Previous experience in a warehouse, materials handling, or logistics role preferred.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and inventory management software.- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks related to inventory management.- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
