Overview

Provides fast, friendly helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for managing the Front End Department of the store to include the achievement of financial targets, sanitation measures and inventory control of nonperishable merchandise. The goal is to promote an optimal opportunity for sales. Oversees Front End Teammates. Responsible for overseeing the entire store operation when scheduled.

Responsibilities

Supervise Front End Teammates on a regular basis

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.

Responsible for proper handling and merchandising of all products according to company policy.

Display and express a complete knowledge of all grocery products to the customer.

Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers upon fulfilling customers request.

Maintains a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times.

Manage the Front End Department of a retail unit: cashiers, sackers, cart pushers.

Responsible for controlling the budgeting and financial aspects of the Front End Department.

Coordinate the merchandising of all Grocery/General merchandise products.

Ensure that the Front End Department is running efficiently with no lag.

Responsible for managing the total store operation in the absence of the store manager and co-manager

Manage associates within the department by ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to with regard to Front End operations.

Responsible for training and developing all associates within the Front End Department.

Ensure that all sanitation and safety policies are adhered to within grocery/general merchandise department.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

Satisfactory performance reviews.

Strong communication skills.

High School Degree or equivalent

3+ years of related experience

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing.

Occasional repetitive motion of hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.

Ability to work in a store environment.
