  • Responsibilities

    The Educational Resources Assistant is responsible for daily tasks, product sales, shipping, receiving, and client research. This position is part-time and reports directly to the Manager of Educational Resources.

    Responsibilities

    · Continually research and find potential sales contacts for educational resources in our region and throughout the United States

    · Work with the Manager of Educational Resources to implement a marketing plan to expand all educational resources and curricula

    · Coordinate all program registrations, confirm registrants, and very attendance/age of attendees to purchase necessary incentives

    · Coordinate and purchase program incentives for Educational Resource Department programs and training

    · Assist with editing of professional documents to maintain a low literacy level

    · Research programming statistics as needed to update trainings and resources

    · Aid in the quarterly inventorying of products

    · Assist with receiving and shipping orders

    · Schedule training sessions and programs

    · Assist with data entry into reservation system

    · Review and analyze training outcomes to determine if changes should be made to training or curricula

    · Conduct professional training sessions as directed by the Manager of Educational Resources

    · Implement curricula and resources with end users

    · Conduct programs associated with the curricula of the Educational Resource Department

    · Attend conferences and exhibit McMillen Health resources and curricula

    · Some travel may be required depending on location of conferences required to attend

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Capability to present and speak in front of groups of individuals ranging from preschool age

    through adults

    The position requires a valid driver's license

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, health sciences, general studies, communications, or equivalent

    Experience in presenting and public speaking

    · Candidate must be self-sufficient handling administrative details, proficient level computer skills; this position will routinely utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
