    Our Meal and Rest Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with California labor laws and wage orders. We strive for excellence, and as such, expect employee to receive their entitled breaks and rest periods are governed by law.

    REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMS DISPATCHERS:

    High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

    Previous payroll experience with data entry (Preferred)

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider (Preferred)

    MEAL & REST COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Monitor and assign meal breaks and rest periods using the TraumaSoft platform.

    Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage orders, and company policies.

    Accurately document reasons for any crew’s missed meal breaks (C7s) or rest periods.

    Conduct regular timecard audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

    Assists in resolving payroll discrepancies and disputes, in coordination with the executive teams.

    Collaborates with the Communications Center and Staffing Coordinator to address scheduling needs.

    Reviews and interprets state meal and rest break laws to ensure company policies align with legal requirements.

    Investigates and reports documentation of missed breaks, communicates with management on potential violations and/or wage theft.

    LOOKING FOR 1 DAY & 1 NIGHT SHIFT

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Must be able to sit for an extended period of time

    Requires frequent, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, reaching, and grasping

    Must be able to hear and communicate clearly to perform job duties in-person and over the telephone

    Adequate vision is required in order to read information from printed sources and computer screens
