Meals-on-Wheels Coordinator, Senior Nutrition Program
JOB SUMMARY: ****
Coordinate new and existing participant registrations, records, reports and nutritious meal delivery for the homebound elderly enrolled in the Meals-on-Wheels program. Oversee and supervise part of the responsibilities of the Office Assistant. Manage a large volume of incoming phone calls and voice mails while maintaining consistent, positive, professional communication with participants and community partners. Communicate daily meal counts, meal changes and other important information to coworkers. Uphold gatekeeper responsibilities related to participants; communicate concerns with families and community partners. Make daily phone calls to check-in on participants who were not home for that day’s meal delivery. Operate program specific software; enter participant data and notes into system. Assist with compiling billing information and any required reports. Create documents including a periodic newsletter, delivery schedules, route sheets and delivery labels. Assist in maintaining and updating Meals-on-Wheels policies and procedures book.

** QUALIFICATIONS:** ****
· Associates Degree plus four years related work experience or High School diploma plus six years related work experience
.· Considerable knowledge of computer usage including Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and ServeTracker CXM.
· Community nutrition and/or social work experience preferred.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
· Ability to accurately type documents in a timely manner.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills including a working knowledge of correct grammar and spelling.
· Proficiency in mathematical functions and record keeping skills.
· Current CT Drivers License and reliable, insured vehicle.
